Products
A product is a configurable family you sell — not a single frozen SKU.
Families vs versions
| Object | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Product | The family (name, audience, default units, process class) |
| Version | A revision of CAD, parameters, rules, and publish settings |
Publish a version. Keep drafting on the next version without breaking live share links until you promote it.
What lives on a product
- Display name and internal part prefix
- Manufacturing process class (
machined_or_general,sheet_metal, orprofile_cut) - Parameter definitions
- Rules
- Fusion master (per version)
- Configurator layout
- Output eligibility
- Share / embed settings
Create or open a product
In the App, go to Products. Open an existing family or create a new one. The demo tenant includes Summit examples (screw conveyor, spool, guard, and related shares) so you can walk a complete path without uploading CAD first.
Do not treat catalog browse as the product
The App is the control plane. A buyer catalog or configure page is the published surface. Build the family here; send customers a share link.
